The J.P. Wiser’s Experience in Windsor, Ontario, has temporarily closed their doors to the public amid concerns of the spread of COVID-19.
The distillery, the largest in North America, offers tours of the facility and is a part of the Drinks of Walkerville tour, which is an Ontario Signature Experience. As a result, the Drinks of Walkerville tour is placed on hold until the distillery re-opens.
The statement says, “at this time, our distillery remains in operation, but we will not be offering public tours or hosting functions or events. Our retail store is also closed – but you may still order J.P. Wiser’s products from our Shop Page for home shipping in Ontario.”
If you have booked a visit in the weeks ahead, the distillery will be reaching out to you via email to reschedule or provide a refund.
They will be re-opening their doors on April 3, 2020, or when it is appropriate to do so, based on the authorities’ advice.
