Last night Mezzo Restaurant & Lounge hosted another round of their successful Canadian Whisky Dinner.

It was a full house!

First guests arrived to cocktails being served. Always a treat.

After cocktails, the real fun began. Special guest Dan Tullio, Master Ambassador for Canadian Club, introduced all the whiskies that would be sampled throughout the night.

Chef Pat Lizzi then started rolling out the meal, starting with a Canadian Club Small Batch Classic 12 Year Whisky infused sausage barley soup.

Next up was the first of the heavy hitters: risotto in a wild mushroom smoked apple wood bacon cream Dark Horse whisky sauce, which included honey.

The main course was absolutely perfect. Chef Pat Lizzi came into the restaurant at 5:00am to start smoking the brisket for the smoked apple wood dry rub beef brisket topped with Canadian Club 100% Rye demi glaze. Guests were raving about this dish. Perfection!

After a meal like that, who can say no to dessert? The evening finished with a quince and wild berry crumble with a Sherry Cask whisky caramel ice cream.

Guests enjoyed every moment and throughout the night were able to ask Dan any questions they had about the whisky or Chef Pat anything about the food.

That's a lot of glasses!
