Downtown Windsor Farmer's Market

The Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market loves the city and wants customers to help celebrate some of the city’s gems this weekend. On This Saturday, July 14, 2012, from 8:00am to 1:00pm at 44 University Avenue East, guests will be out to help celebrate Windsor including:

  • Border Bookmobile – A mobile collection of books and media about the history of our region, housed in a 1993 Chrysler Voyager minivan.
  • Ca$h Mob Windsor – A group that “mobs” local businesses en masse.
  • Elaine Weeks – Co-author of 500 Ways You Know You’re From Windsor will be on hand selling and signing copies of the latest book.
  • Windsor Public Library – Speak with a librarian, get a library card, sign out children’s books on farming, see demos of latest library services, and enjoy story time at 10:30 a.m.

A class from the University of Windsor will also be on hand, collecting donations for Windsor Regional Hospital.

Along with special guests, there will be a variety of great food this weekend including: berries, peaches, sweet corn, salad greens, beets, turnips, zucchini, onions, new potatoes, garlic, beans, peas, peppers, maple syrup, jam, beef, fish, and a variety of baked goods (including gluten-free and diabetic-friendly).

We’re smack dab in the middle of our great growing season so head down to the Downtown Windsor Farmer’s Market this weekend and treat yourself to some good, fresh local food.
