The RyeGate in Tecumseh

The RyeGate Steakhouse & Lounge, located just off EC Row Expressway in Tecumseh, Ontario, is participating in their first Winter Bites Culinary Week. The Ryegate offers a fresh approach to the steakhouse standards as well as eclectic offerings such as sushi and thin crust pizza.

Here is a showcase of the 3 Winter Bites selections that we here at WindsorEats are most excited about on their dinner menu:

RyeGate Crispy Roll
While The RyeGate is a steakhouse, they do offer up some great sushi (as was evident during the 2011 Eat Your City Culinary Week) and their signature roll is definitely worth the try.

Lobster & Tequila Bisque
One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, lobster! Served with a drizzle of cilantro creme fraiche and smoked jabanero chili oil.

Sea & Shore
We decided to keep our selections for The RyeGate with a seafood theme. Bacon wrapped Angus beef tenderloin paired with scampi-style colossal shrimp. The mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables are even done up for this dish as they are drizzled with Canadian Club whisky butter.

The Winter Bites Culinary Week dinner menu from The RyeGate Steakhouse & Lounge can be viewed here and is $35 per person. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Winter Bites is Windsor and Essex County’s very own restaurant week. From January 16 to January 22, 2012, diners can visit any Winter Bites participating restaurant and indulge in a 3-course meal, created with 3 options in each course to choose from. Participating restaurants are open during their regular hours of operation.
