The Original Tecumseh Roadhouse Restaurant and the 2009 Windsor International Airshow, in partnership with Biz X and In Play Magazines, will present the first annual chicken wing cook-off on Saturday, August 15. The cook-off will take place at the Windsor International Airport located at 200 County Road 42 between 11:00 am and 9:00 pm.

Tecumseh Roadhouse, Chanoso’s, Smoke ‘n Spice and others will supply sample wings to event attendees with sauce variations ranging from traditional baked and Buffalo-style to sweet & spicy, hot honey and Asian.

Winners will be decided in Best Overall, Hottest Sauce, Best Sauced Wing and Best Naked Wing with the public determining the winner of the People’s Choice Award. The event is a prelude to the 2009 Windsor International Airshow to be held August 29-30, and proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association. Attendees are also encouraged to donate canned goods at the entrances to benefit the Goodfellows of Windsor.

“This is a fun family event and one that will attract the epicurean enthusiast,” says Mark Boscariol, owner of Tecumseh Roadhouse. “It’s also a great opportunity to voice your wing preferences and contribute to great causes”.
