This Saturday, June 27, is our first Wine Trail Ride of the year.   Part of our goal with the rides has always been to promote the local.   Visiting the wineries and tasting local wines is part of that, but we also try to incorporate it into the meal we all indulge in after the ride is over.

When we head back to our last stop on our ride this Saturday, we’ll be sitting down to a fantastic spread by local chef Jeff Wright of To Your Kitchen Catering.   He is a huge supporter of Essex County produce and products and uses as much of them as he can.  Take a look at what he has lined up for us:

  • Bounty of the County Salad (peppers, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes in a red wine vinaigrette)
  • Caesar Salad (Jeff’s own secret dressing with crisp romaine, bacon bits, croutons & parmesan cheese)
  • Grilled Vegetable Pasta Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette (Penne tossed with local grilled vegetables & basil)
  • Chicken & Vegetable Kebobs OR Beef Tenderloin & Vegetable Kebobs
  • Strawberry Cake

There are still a few tickets left for this Saturday’s ride.  If you’re interested in purchasing them, you can do so online at the WindsorEats.com Shop or head over to Maximum Edge, 3933 County Rd 42 (across from Windsor Airport) and pay with good ol’ fashioned cash.  Tickets cost $25/person.
