The lights went out and the party began!
I just came back from Chanoso’s and let me tell you, their Earth Hour celebration was fantastic!!! At 8:30pm tonight, Chanoso’s and Oishii Sushi Lounge turned out the lights and turned up the ambiance as guests dined by candlelight and were serenaded by a singing guitarist meandering through the restaurant.
Kudos to the owners of Chanoso’s and Oishii for embracing Earth Hour and showing that being environmentally concious does not have to mean making sacrifices for your business. They were packed!
It was also nice to see that Caesars Windsor participated by turning off their gigantic red Caesars signs.
On a sad note, although they sent out a press release tooting their own horn about participating in Earth Hour, many City of Windsor buildings were left shining bright (not a good thing) on multiple floors.
