Motor Burger Opens For Business

It has been much anticipated and opening day was delayed three weeks, but, it was well worth the wait.

Jillian, Pina, Sean and I headed on over to Motor Burger, the former NOI Restaurant at 888 Erie St. E., for their opening night tonight.  To say I have been excited about this venture is an understatement.  Since Jill and I visited Ireland in back in March I have been wishing for a gourmet burger joint in Windsor…and it’s here…it’s finally here!

Sean and I both ordered the Lamb-orghini, a lamb burger with arugula and some other fine ingredients, while Pina ordered the Citroen, a Gruyère burger with bacon, and Jill getting the Classic Motor Burger.

We were all very please with Chef Jay’s creations.  The burgers were so juicy, so moist, and bursting with flavour. The design was gorgeous too, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from Gino and Jay.  My favourite part of it was incorporating 2×4 pieces of lumber into the design…brilliant!

We will be adding their full info to WindsorEats shortly, but, until then, here it is:

Yes there are. While their veggie burger was unavailable when i went the first night, they did offer a portabello burger. the veggie burger, if not available already, should be soon.

Last time I went, my girlfriend got the veggie burger. It was a melange of different vegetables pressed into a very delicious patty, however it did not hold its shape well. Looks like they may need to tweak that recipe a wee bit. On the plus side though, the burger itself came with an array of tasty toppings, including a soy-sesame flavored mayo that really worked.

Loved, loved, loved the shrimp burger. Apparently next week the full menu will be available…really looking forward to going back.

Is anyone able to give a price range for a basic burger to deluxe?

    Thanks,
    S.
