Ingredients: 8oz certified Angus beef topped with a fried egg, onion rings, blue cheese, ground chorizo sausage, Franks hot sauce, house battered and fried jalapenos inside a brioche bun.

If you like a touch of heat in your food, you’ll love the Voodoo Burger. With everything that’s going on with this burger, each bite will be a pop of flavours in your mouth.

Tasty Tip: If you’re not a fan of blue cheese, ask for it with cheddar instead.

CAP’N BROWN
Walkerville Eatery

Yes. There’s Cap’n Crunch cereal in this burger.

Ingredients: chicken double battered in Cap’n Crunch cereal, fresh bacon, Monterrey Jack cheese and compound butter.

This slider is what happens when mamma forbids you from eating sugar cereals. It’s sweet and savoury and delicious. There have been stories of some people ordering 15 Cap’n Browns at one sitting.

Tasty Tip: These are sliders, so don’t hesitate to order several at once.

THE MOZZA’RATTI
Motor Burger

Pizza + Panzerotti + Burger = Heaven.
Pizza + Panzerotti + Burger = Heaven.

Ingredients: a grilled beef patty, smoked mozzarella, white cheese curd, pepperoni, wrapped in fresh pizza dough and baked to order then plated floating in a roasted tomato sauce.

If you ever wished a pizza could be perfectly represented in a burger, your dreams have come true. Only available on Tuesdays, The Mozza’ratti is a complete reinvention of the pizza burger and heaven in your mouth.

Tasty Tip: Pairs well with Motor Craft Ale’s Jalopy, a smoked jalapeno beer brewed in house.

THE ESCOBAR
Jack’s Gastropub

Say hello to my (not so) little friend...
Say hello to my (not so) little friend…

Ingredients: hand pressed turkey burger with bacon, smoked cheddar, candied jalapeno jam on a freshly baked jalapeno biscuit, dusted with icing sugar.

Originally showcased as a feature burger for the month of November in 2015 and 2016, there was such an uproar about its limited availability the owners of Jack’s had no choice but to add it to their regular, daily menu for 2017.

Since the burger is named after a drug lord, bonus points go for the “spilled product” as a garnish (icing sugar).

Tasty Tip: A burger with fries is great. A burger with Jack’s Holy Trinity poutine is perfection.

THE TODD FATHER! Burger
Walkerville Tavern

Make it how you like it.
Make it how you like it.

Ingredients: 8oz choice cut, ground daily, 100% halal beef, secret sauce, fresh daily brioche bun, romaine lettuce, red onion, tomato and pickle. Burger can be topped with one of our 22 toppings.

Sometimes, simplicity is what you need. Some say it’s the cooking technique or the special sauce they use, others say it’s just Walkerville Tavern letting the flavour of the beef be the focus. Either way, those looking for a classic burger that they can top their own way rave about The Todd Father.

Tasty Tip: One of the best choices of toppings is their “Tav Sauce”.

THE LAMBURGER
The Manchester

The only lamb patty on the list
The only lamb patty on the list

Ingredients: 8oz. house ground lamb patty, with a hint of fresh mint, topped with spinach, caramelized onions, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, feta cheese and our house tzatziki

Taking a page from the owner of The Manchster’s Greek heritage, this is the only burger made from lamb on the list. The freshness of the house-made tzatziki is a special kind of something all on its own.

Tasty Tip: The lightness of the Lamburger pairs well with the fresh vegetables and cheese in the Village Salad.

THE DIRTY BURGER
Thompson House

4 different cheeses. Enough said.
4 different cheeses. Enough said.

Ingredients: Jalapeno chutney, Swiss, mozzarella, aged white and American cheddar, crisp onion rings and garlic aioli on a fresh brioche bun.

There’s a hint of heat and sweetness in the jalapeno chutney that just does wonders with this burger. I could eat jars of the stuff just on its own. Plus, how can you say no to four different cheeses melted over the beef patty?

Tasty Tip: A pint of Walkerville Brewery’s Honest Lager is a nice way to finish off this burger.

BLACK KETTLE BURGER
Billy’s Taphouse

A burger this beautiful brings a tear of joy to my eye
A burger this beautiful brings a tear of joy to my eye

Ingredients: Blackened Cajun beef patty on a brioche bun with Habanero Jack cheese, creamy coleslaw, house made BBQ sauce and fried kettle chips.

The Black Kettle Burger is the chef’s spin on a Kansas City burger. The combination of the spicy blackened patty and creamy coleslaw to the crunch of the crisp kettle chips give it good flavor and texture.

Tasty Tip: A nice squish and a firm grip before attempting your first bite are recommended.

BENNY BURGER
Barrel House

Rise and shine!
Rise and shine!

Ingredients: savoury burger is topped with thick cut Havarti cheese, black forest ham, an over easy egg, and a generous amount of tarragon hollandaise. Served on a soft egg- washed bun.

The Benny is the love child of a passionate escapade between a burger and breakfast. While good any time of the day, the owners are certain ordering one after a long night at the bar is the cure for the hangover-to-be.

Tasty Tip: Splurge and add bacon to it for the full breakfast love affair.

HOLY GUACAMOLE
Mamo Burger

Sweet holy Moses....and guac...lots of guac.
Sweet holy Moses….and guac…lots of guac.

Ingredients: Chorizo-Pork Patty, Hot pepper colby, Smashed Avocado, Arugula, Pico de Gallo and Ranch.

The Holy Guac is a sleeper pick on the Mamo Burger menu. Simply because it doesn’t have a traditional beef patty it often gets overlooked, but, anything with guacamole will always have a place in my heart.

Tasty Tip: If you would like it to be spicier you can add roasted and pickled jalapenos .

VEGAN CURRY BURGER
Atmosphere Fine Foods

When your appetite calls for a little bit of everything, the Eureka burger fits the bill.

Ingredients: House smoked bacon, jumbo Cajun shrimp, ground prime rib patty, brioche bun, lettuce, tomato, Sambal aioli, American cheese.

This burger was once popular at the Original Tecumseh Roadhouse before it burnt to the ground. Now, it’s been resurrected at The Willistead. Along with the jumbo shrimp and house smoked bacon, you know you’re getting a great burger when it’s made with ground prime rib.

Tasty Tip: Their root veggie slaw with roasted onion vinaigrette pairs great on the plate.

THE CARL BURGER
Johnny Shotz

omg!
omg!

Ingredients: The buns are two grilled cheese sandwiches, one stuffed with applewood smoked bacon and the other with jalapenos. Beef patty topped with homemade guacamole, lettuce, tomato, fried egg, cheddar cheese and jalapeno mayo.

Carl must have been one hungry man. This burger is essentially 3 sandwiches in one: a beef patty stuffed between a jalapeno grilled cheese sandwich and an applewood smoked bacon grilled cheese sandwich. Throw in an egg and some guacamole and you’ve got the beginnings of a pretty special burger. While it may sound intimidating, your taste buds will thank you.

Tasty Tip: Ask for their special homemade killer habanero sauce.

THE COSTANZA
Rockhead Pub

These pretzels are making me thirsty!
These pretzels are making me thirsty!

Ingredients: 40 Creek BBQ Pulled Pork, Creamy Baconnaise, Honest Lager honey mustard, crispy pretzels.

Rockhead owner, Dave Krndija, is a huge Seinfeld fan. So big, in fact, this ode to character George Costanza is one of several nods to the cult classic television show on the menu. How could you resist anything with Baconnaise?

Tasty Tip: Be sure to get a nice cold beverage with this burger. Afterall, those pretzels crushed over-top the beef patty will make you thirsty!
