What do historic bars, a school bus packed full of fun and the city of Detroit all have in common? Well, they’re all part of WindsorEats’ first D-Tour happening April 22, 2016!

The D-Tour marks the first ever WindsorEats tour to venture to Detroit. Hakuna Matata all night long as you travel magic school bus style to some of Detroit’s hidden gems. There will be four stops along the way to bars that are oldies but goodies, including Tom’s Tavern and Dakota Inn Rathskeller.

It may look like a dilapidated shack, but it's a pretty fantastic place for a drink.

Tom’s Tavern was a must for the tour, being one of the oldest bars in all of Detroit. It may appear like an abandoned shack, but this tiny pub is rich with history dating back to the 1920’s, which includes a few fires, burglary and prohibition. This is definitely a bar you want to add and cross off of your bucket list.

Dakota Inn Rathskeller is more than just an bar, it’s an all around German experience! They lived through prohibition and have been serving up German food, drinks and culture since the 1930’s. Not only can you eat and drink, you sing and dance to live piano performances all night long.

The WindsorEats D-Tour, (get it? detour?) will allow easy access for you to visit some iconic local hangouts in Detroit without the need to drive, allowing you time to focus on a good time.

Space is limited so grab your tickets to the WindsorEats D-Tour quickly!  The tour will start at 6:30 p.m and bring you back to Windsor at approximately midnight.
