A new restaurant is opening in Walkerville this weekend.
F&B Walkerville, the brainchild of John Alvarez and Tom Scully, will open their doors this Friday at the corner of Argyle and Wyandotte St. E.
John will be in the kitchen pumping out small plates for guests to feast on.
Tom has almost 15 years experience in the food and beverage industry and will use his knowledge to showcase an international wine, craft beer and cocktail lists.
One of the drinks Tom is excited to serve is the Esposa, dedicated to his. It’s a take on a fresh Mexican cocktail with tequila and ancho chile. From a food perspective, John thinks the variety of oysters available will be popular with patrons.
John, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, is most likely known locally for his work at Sushi Guru. Previously, he plied his trade in esteemed kitchens in Las Vegas, Baltimore, Tampa Bay and Quebec. He’ll be in the kitchen pumping out small plates for guests to feast on. He’ll also be the special guest chef for our September 10, 2016 Wine Trail Ride.
Each month, a drink will be chosen where portions of its sales will be donated to a local animal foundation.
Rumour has it there will also be secret menus available that only those in the know will…well…know.
