Pick-Your-Own Strawberries at Meleg’s
World Cup Fever in Windsor
The World Cup is just hitting its stride. The games so far have been spectacular and the atmosphere at some local establishments even better. If you’re a fan of any team, The Manchester is a hotbed of soccer activity. Fans of Italy have packed the restaurants and streets all throughout Via Italia and Mi Casita has been a great place to watch Brazil matches.
Midtown Farmers’ Market

The Leaf Patio Party
Kagerou Ramen House
Every Friday, the owners of Eros Asian Eatery open a pop-up restaurant, Kagerou Ramen House. The doors open at 7:15pm until the food runs out, which has happened quickly each and every week. If you haven’t tried it out yet, we highly recommend it.
Carrousel Villages offer visitors unique opportunities to explore the Windsor Region’s cultural diversity.
Over the weekends of June 20-22 and 27-29, 2014, ethno-cultural groups open their cultural centres in celebration of their country. Visitors can delight in the tastes, sounds and traditions of these cultures as they present the greatest music, dance, history, art, and especially the food of their country. One warning – once you start indulging in Polish pierogis, German sausages, Italian pasta, and Romanian pastries – it will be difficult to stop!
On Saturday, enjoy a scenic ride on your bike to Essex Pelee Island Coast wineries for tastings and enjoy a meal at the final stop.
We’ll be visiting Colio Estate Wines, North 42 Degrees Estate Winery and Oxley Estate Winery.
Each Wine Trail Ride includes tastings at each winery, tours and a really great meal. A support vehicle will also be on hand and will be able to bring back the wine purchased from the wineries back to our starting point. Tickets are limited and sell quickly.
Tickets include tastings, tours, guide, a support vehicle and a long table dinner made from locally grown products. Visit www.winetrailride.ca for more info.
Art in the Parking Lot at Rosa’s
Colio Estate Wines will also be at the market this weekend selling their wines.
