Wine Trail Ride participants enjoying North 42 Degrees Estate Winery

Essex Pelee Island Coast wineries are bringing home their largest ever haul of medals from the 2014 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition in Finger Lakes, New York.

Six Windsor-Essex wineries won an impressive 29 total medals with many WindsorEats members leading the way:

Colchester Ridge Estate Winery

  • Silver: CREW Meritage in the Meritage category

North 42 Degrees Estate Winery

  • Bronze: 2012 Pinot Noir in the Pinot Noir category
  • Bronze: 2012 Sauvignon Blanc in the Sauvignon Blanc category

Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery

  • Silver: Sprucewood Shores Chardonnay in the Chardonnay category
  • Bronze: Hawk’s Flight Riesling Reserve in the Riesling category
  • Bronze: Late Harvest Riesling Traminer in the Late Harvest White (24 Brix +) category
