The Manchester Pub will be open for a full and diverse day of sporting events on January 1, 2014. Doors will be opening at 11:30am and the kitchen will be open!
The day kicks off at 12 noon with college football’s Gator Bowl, featuring Georgia vs. Nebraska.
At 12:30pm, defending English Premier League champions Manchester United will face off against Tottenham, live with sound alongside the Windsor-Essex chapter of the Manchester United Supporters Club of Canada. In 2011, The Manchester Pub was officially recognized as the official headquarters for the Windsor-Essex chapter of this officially sanctioned Canadian Supporters Club.
At 1:00pm, the much anticipated NHL Winter Classic will air, featuring a decades old rivalry, live from University of Michigan’s “Big House”. The Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs will face off in one of the most eagerly awaited showdowns of the year.
At 5:00pm, they’ll be airing another college football Bowl game, this time the Rose Bowl, featuring Stanford vs. Michigan State.
