Fact. Restaurant owners are busy people. It’s hard for them to visit each of our local wineries and our local brewery to determine what products they want to sell in their establishment. That’s why we’re bringing the wineries and brewery to them!
EPIC Wineries, along with WindsorEats, Wine Country Ontario and Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island, are hosting the Corks & Kegs, a tasting event held at Walkerville Brewery to introduce Windsor-Essex restaurant owners to all of the EPIC wineries in our region as well as the recently opened Walkerville Brewery.
Free for local restaurant owners to attend, they can walk around the brewery and sample local beer and wines and get to talk and make connections with the owners and receive tips on how they can include the proper local wines on their wine lists that best suit their establishment.
As we at WindsorEats push to enhance and promote our regions profile as a culinary tourism destination and showcase what Windsor-Essex has to offer, this is a great opportunity to enhance the offerings of your restaurant with great local products. It is also the perfect opportunity to network with those on site and come up with creative new ideas. WindsorEats will also be on site for you to speak with us about what we’re looking to accomplish over the next year and the opportunities available for you to be involved.
The event for the industry takes place on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 2:00pm until 4:30pm.
