Tomorrow, Saturday, September 8, 2012, the Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market celebrates “Pets on Parade”. The event is starting at 8:00am with free pet portraits and pampering.
- Elegance-Fur-E-Doo’s & Scents will offer a bit of pampering for four-legged friends
- Ravenswift Images will offer free pet portraits
- Special pet-related vendors will be on-site including Pawsitively a Dog Thing with all-natural dog treats and K9 Collars with custom leashes and accessories
The market sees a lot of dogs each weekend and this weekend is just for them. All kinds of pets are welcome for the portraits and in the past we’ve seen all breeds of dogs, cats and even a ferret.
In addition to the pet theme, the live entertainment runs all day starting at 9:00am. Visitors are encouraged to sit and relax while they enjoy the music and surroundings.
Special event days are part of the market each year and the next event will be a celebration of world food, art and culture as part of Canada Culture Days on September 29, 2012. All events are family-friendly and free.
The Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market celebrates the best of Windsor and Essex County with fresh, local produce, area artisans and entrepreneurs, baked goods and prepared foods, and live entertainment. The market runs from 8:00am to 1:00pm every Saturday until October 6, 2012 and is located at 44 University Avenue East.
