It’s a given: people love to eat burgers during the summer. Well now The City Grill, winner of the 2012 WindsorEats Award for Favourite Restaurant in Windsor, is putting their own twist on the summer classic with their Gourmet Burgers & Frites Month for all of August.
There are 7 gourmet burgers being offered up by TCG, each paired with their own special frites alongside.
This is what you can get a taste of:
- Surf & Turf Burger: 6oz. Angus patty, gulf shrimp, Nova Scotia lobster, contonnier cheese, horseradish creme fraiche. Served with Parmesan frites.
- Foie Gras Burger: 6oz. Angus patty, triple creme brie, grilled apple, caramelized onions, aioli, 2oz. of grade A duck foie gras. Served with truffle frites.
- Black & Blue Burger: Blackened ground Angus patty, gorgonzola cheese, ripe tomato chow. Served with blue cheese frites.
- TCG Signature Burger: 8oz. ground Angus chuck, sharp cheddar, BBQ short ribs, frizzled onions. Served with demi drizzled frites.
- Mediterranean Lamb Burger: tzatziki, mint pesto, balsamic grilled vegetables, crumbled feta cheese. Served with oregano lemon zested frites.
- Tex Mex Burger: 8oz. ground angus patty, guacamole, lime creme fraiche, salsa, crispy tortilla strips. Served with Cajun frites.
- Chicken Tikka Masala Burger: 6oz. roasted breast, mild curry spices, cucumber yogourt slaw. Served with Masala spiced frites.
