Motor Burger nachos

There are few Windsor-Essex restaurants that can challenge the popularity Motor Burger experienced in the last year. The burger joint just seemed like they could do no wrong with hosting our Tweets, Beats & Eats events and installing their own water system as two of their successes. So naturally, we’re extremely excited that Motor Burger is once again participating in the 2012 Winter Bites Culinary Week.

Their restaurant week menus consist of Motor Burger staples like the SMART Veg Engine and the Classic Motor, but Chef Jay Souilliere has also thrown in new creations specifically for Winter Bites. The last time he did this during Eat Your City Culinary Week in the summer the Firebird Burger ended up being a regular (and favourite) on the menu.

Here is a showcase of the 3 Winter Bites selections that we here at WindsorEats are most excited about on Motor Burger’s dinner menu:

Dip Sticks
I’m going to have to pass up their amazingly delicious nachos and go for something new. A fun, distinctly Motor Burger play on ‘pogos’, these Dip Sticks are corn meal encrusted spicy sweet house made pork sausage (say that 5 times fast!) with a roasted garlic-dijon dipping sauce.

Lamb-orghini
Even though Jay has been raving about the Twin Barracudas, We’ll have to go with the Lamb-orghini. It’s the sundried tomato tapenade and the longing of summer that got me.

Doughnut & Bacon Bread Pudding
Bacon. Enough said. I’m sure Mark McKenzie of 89x fame will be all over this one.

Both the lunch and dinner Winter Bites Culinary Week menus from Motor Burger can be viewed here. The lunch menu is $15 per person and the dinner is $25 per person.

Winter Bites is Windsor and Essex County’s very own restaurant week. From January 16 to January 22, 2012, diners can visit any Winter Bites participating restaurant and indulge in a 3-course meal, created with 3 options in each course to choose from. Participating restaurants are open during their regular hours of operation.
