30 Days of Local Wine

The Mastronardi Estate Winery 2010 Viognier Pinot Blanc is a blend of two beautifully light aromatic wines. The blend demonstrates spicy floral perfumes, lemon zest and white melon. The flavours are of vibrant lemon grass and lime with undertones of pear peel with a long fresh finish. The Wine Trail Traveller states that the Viognier Pinot Grigio’s taste “offered rose and lemon grass nuances. The finish was crisp and fruity.”

Here’s Laura Schiefer of Mastronardi’s favourite recipe for this wine:

Cucumber Dill Salad with Grilled Chicken Breast

  • 2 tsp cider vinegar
  • 1 green onion, minced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
