Let the gluttony begin!

The 2011 Eat Your City Culinary Week officially began today and to celebrate, we did some media spots with both CBC Windsor and /A Windsor (thank you, both!) at The Manchester, Centro and Motor Burger.

After all the fun and games, I had the opportunity to sample Motor Burger’s ‘Camel Power’ sandwich on their EYC dinner menu. It was absolutely fantastic! The flavours of the fried haloumi cheese and grilled eggplant, portobello mushrooms, red peppers and zucchini blended together perfectly.

If you haven’t heard, participating Eat Your City restaurants are offering 3-course menus for either $10 or $15 for lunch and either $25 or $35 for dinner. EYC 2011 lasts from August 1 to 7, 2011.

Below is a video of sandwich being put together. If you listen closely, co-owner Jay Souilliere lets out a little secret about the sandwich which I’m predicting will soon be famous:
