Everyone is asking for a list of haunted houses for 2009.  There are a few “haunted happenings” taking place in the next couple weekends:

Ghost Tours at Fort Malden
October 23 & 24 – Friday and Saturday and October 30 – Friday.  Fort Malden National Historic Site, 100 Laird Ave. S., Amherstburg, Ontario.  Cost is $3.00 per person and tours leave from the Visitor Orientation Center every 15 minutes from 6:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.

Haunted Hayrides at Colasantis
Hayrides start at dusk. Ad.$11.95+tax; kids 12 & under $8.95+tax.  Lots of other activitites taking place all month.  They even have a haunted greenhouse.

Corn Maze at Williamson Farms in Lakesore
Take a trip with the Oldies and go thru 8 acres in a Corn Maze. Williamson Farms is a great place for a fun farm, playing in our corn field and visit our market. Open10am-5pm, Tues-Sun. $7 for adults / $4 for kids.  Located 7739 Lakeshore Rd. www.williamsonfarms.com

House of Fright and Haunted Graveyard
Oct. 9-10, 16-17, 23-24, 30. Join us for the House of Fright & Haunted Graveyard. Scary! Exciting! The best halloween attraction in the Essex County. Fun for the whole family. Indoor “haunted house” and the scariest outdoor “graveyard”. Special “unscary” children’s play area. Facepainting, pumpkin painting and more.  6pm-10pm. Haunted Forest
Oct 16, 2009 to Oct 31, 2009 – This family centered venue will take October 16th and 17th; October 23rd and 24th and October 30th and 31st from dusk to midnight at Windsor Sportsmens Club, 2401 Dougall Avenue. Guests of all ages will be ghoulishly treated to a trailer ride through the forest and self-guided tours through the maze will provide even more scary thrills . if you dare!Tickets are $8.00 pp for adults and $5.00 pp for children under the age of ten. Bring in a non perishable food item and save a Loonie on the price of admission.

The Spirits of Sandwich Walking Ghost Tour
Tour begins at the parking lot of MacKenzie Hall Cultural Centre, 3277 Sandwich Street (Corner of Sandwich and Brock)  at 8:30pm.  Tours will continue running every Sunday until November 8th. $10 Adult / $5 Child

The Spirits of Amherstburg Walking Ghost Tour
Tour begins on: Friday September 25th and runs every Friday til November 6th.  Start Time: 8:30 PM.  Location: “The Mayor’s Fountain” in the King’s Navy Yard Park on the corner of Dalhousie and Richmond.  Admission: $8 adult / $4 child

Legends of the Night @ Point Pelee
Oct 23, 2009 to Oct 24, 2009 – As Halloween approaches we hear many spooky legends about creatures of the night. Join a park interpreter around a campfire and through story-telling and exploration you will hear the real stories of these animals. Free with park entry

Chiller Thriller on the Other Side
Haunted campground. Location: Windsor Campground 4855 – 9th Concession, Windsor 735-3660. Cost: 12yrs & under $6 and $8 Ad. Fri & Sat 7-1; Thurs and Sun 7-10pm

Windsor Fright Factory
October 23, 24, 30 – 7pm-11pm; October 25, 28,29 – 7pm-10pm; October 31 – 1pm-3pm, 8pm-midnight; October 27 Kids Night – 6pm-9pm (less frightening version).  Tickets are $10/person.  Kids night $5/person. Location: Windsor Expo Centre, 1508 Walker Road, Windsor, Ontario (Former GM Transmission Plant)
